Residency during the CC International Ceramics Biennale, in Zhengzhou.
For this installation I wanted to combine Felt and Cable ties with Porcelain Flowers that are used on plates and vases in this region of China. I worked together with a small company run by a family; Kaifeng Song Huan Guan Porcelain Co. They learned me their techniques. In my installation I’m working with a combination of Felt, Cable ties and porcelain. 80 Ceramic flowers, more or less deconstructed and thousands of white cable ties are combined with the white lasercut felt, they become an itchy, organic skin on the dark grey wall.
